How I ended up here.

It started with science experiments as a kid. I fell in love with the loop — hypothesis, experiment, proof, write-up, review, improve — and I never found a better framework, so I never stopped using it. I've just kept pointing it at bigger things.

I've lived in ten countries and worked across more industries than is strictly sensible — global trade, software, marketing, real estate, and now AI. On paper it looks scattered. It isn't.

The job was always the same one in different clothes: take something messy and human — demand, supply, an intention — and build a system that makes it happen reliably, at scale, and proves it worked. I moved ten million phones across borders before I ever shipped a line of code, and the instinct was identical.

So there were years running supply chains out of Hong Kong for the carriers behind Tesco, Vodafone, and O2; then software — co-founding and scaling SaaS tools that handled over a billion dollars of Amazon sales, one of which I sold; then the marketing and analytics behind all of it: paid, SEO, content at scale, and the attribution that ties spend to revenue. Lately it's been commercial real estate — the growth and analytics across hundreds of facilities and roughly $800M in assets.

Every one of those was the same problem: turning intent into reliable, provable execution. AI agents are the newest and hardest version of it — so that's where I am now, building the infrastructure that lets software act safely, and patenting the parts that are genuinely new.

Selected work

A curated path, not the whole résumé — the roles that best show the thread.

  1. 2024 — Now · United States

Fuji Lane Founder · CRE analytics & growth

Advising commercial real estate operators and investors on marketing, analytics architecture, and AI-driven growth — $800M+ AUM, 170+ facilities, 45,000+ units. Turning demand into revenue, not reports.

  2. 2022 — 2024 · United States

Patriot Holdings Director of Marketing — self-storage (25,000+ units) & investor relations

Scaled self-storage marketing across 70+ facilities from zero trackable leads to 10,000+ rentals, built lead-to-lease attribution end to end, and supported $100M+ in capital raises.

  3. 2018 — 2021 · Osaka, Japan

Importist · BlueOdin · Amazon SaaS Founder & CEO

Founded software for cross-border sourcing (shareable RFQs, supplier benchmarking) and real-time ecommerce analytics, while running SaaS tools managing $1B+ in annual Amazon sales.

  4. 2016 — 2018 · ExitedSOLD

    CashCowPro Co-founder & CEO

Built and sold a SaaS platform that helped Amazon sellers manage over $1B in annual sales — zero to thousands of users, the first thousand on word-of-mouth alone.

  5. 2006 — 2016 · Hong Kong

Global trade CEO & GM Asia

A decade running supply chains out of Asia — 10M+ units of electronics to Europe's carriers (Tesco, Vodafone, O2, Orange), including GM Asia for 20:20 Mobile, the world's third-largest mobile distributor.

  6. 2005 — 2006 · London

    KPMG Tax & advisory

Where I learned to take real businesses apart — the scientific method, applied to balance sheets.

What I do now

Today that means Execution Protocol — the layer that decides what an AI agent is allowed to do and proves what it did — and Gutencode, a backend spine you can audit instead of trust. When the work turns up something genuinely new, I file on it (thirteen patents so far) and write about the concept, not the internals.

The rest — the ideas I will never get to — I write up here.
